What bugs me?
Meet the pod, write a group agreement, and go on an "annoyance hunt" for everyday problems worth fixing.
Brightpeer pairs your kid with a college mentor and three other kids their age. Over 4 weeks online, each kid invents an idea and pitches it live to parents, learning to speak up and bounce back along the way.
Speaking up. Pitching an idea. Taking feedback without crumbling. Trying again after something flops. These skills shape who kids become, but they're usually left to chance. Brightpeer turns them into something kids actually practice, every week, with someone they look up to.
Not tutoring. Not therapy. Not for kids who need "fixing." For kids who are growing.
Every kid comes up with an invention that fixes something that bugs them, then pitches it to a panel of parents in week 4. Confidence comes from actually doing it.
Meet the pod, write a group agreement, and go on an "annoyance hunt" for everyday problems worth fixing.
Brainstorm bad ideas first, sketch the invention, and give a first 30-second pitch to the pod.
Build a rough prototype from things around the house, do silly pitch challenges, and handle tough questions.
Parents join the call. Each kid pitches their invention and answers questions. No winners, just every kid showing how far they've come.
Games, challenges, and real talk with the pod. Every kid gets a turn.
Focused time with the mentor to plan and rehearse. You say hi at the start and stay nearby.
One small challenge to try at home or school before next session.
Text your kid's mentor anytime. Kids' questions come through you, too.
Brightpeer mentors are college students we hand-pick: people truly passionate about changing young people's lives, and the kind of role model kids genuinely look up to.
The founding pilot is led by our founder. I'm Eshan Ali, the person who built the curriculum, and I'm mentoring the first pods myself. Questions about anything at all? Reach me directly at hello@brightpeer.org. More about me →
Mentors are paid, not volunteers. Part of every enrollment goes straight to your kid's mentor for every hour they put in, including prep, 1:1s, and your weekly note. Paid mentors show up every week, for every session.

No payment today. Reserve below and we'll reach out within a day with your pod details and a secure payment link. A spot is held once payment is in.
Yes. Outgoing kids practice listening, giving useful feedback, and bringing others in. Brightpeer is about growth, not fixing anything.
It means we can match kids by age and fit instead of zip code, with no driving. Sessions are short, active, and cameras-on, built for video from the start.
A laptop or tablet with a camera, a quiet spot, paper and markers. For week 3, a box of odds and ends like tape, cardboard, cups and string.
Just say hi at the start, then stay nearby. Every 1:1 is also recorded. It's how we make sure a mentor is never alone and unobserved with a child, and you're welcome to listen in anytime.
Tell us within 48 hours of the first session and we'll refund you in full. If something isn't working later on, we'll call you to figure it out together.
Founding families get first pick of Season 2 in January: same pod, same mentor, a brand-new project, at the founding price.
